Deep Tissue / Sports Massage
Focused work for training loads, movement goals and stubborn tension.
Slower, more focused work on the layers underneath — chosen when your body responds better to sustained, specific pressure than to broad strokes.

What this is
- Sustained, deliberate pressure applied to specific muscle groups, at a pace your body can meet.
- Often combined with movement-focused work around the shoulders, hips, hamstrings and calves.
- Sports-focused sessions can be adapted around training and event schedules you describe.
Who may explore it
- Runners, cyclists, lifters and weekend athletes
- People with long-standing tightness in specific areas
- Active adults working on range of motion
- Anyone who has found lighter work doesn't quite reach what they're feeling

What a session may feel like
How the hour tends to go
- 01You describe your activity, your schedule and where you feel restricted.
- 02Pressure builds gradually — deep does not have to mean uncomfortable.
- 03Lynn may spend most of the session on two or three areas rather than the whole body.
- 04You'll talk afterward about what she noticed and how you may feel over the next day or two.
Lynn's approach
Depth without listening isn't useful. Lynn works to the level your tissue actually accepts that day, and would rather adjust mid-session than push through something your body is guarding.

Common questions
About Deep Tissue / Sports massage
No. Depth is adjusted to what your body accepts. Many clients find a moderate, sustained pressure more useful than the deepest possible pressure.
That depends on your schedule and how your body typically responds. Talk it through with Lynn before booking and she'll help you plan the timing.
